These photos were taken in broilers’ slaughterhouse on the periphery of Bangkok. This small slaughter line is capable of processing several thousand broilers per day, only the transport of animals is mechanized. Broilers should be stunned by the workers in the bathtub. Unfortunately, it doesn’t always work and many of them are still conscious when they end up under the knife. Wet broilers are hang up upside down on a conveyor belt where they have their throats cut. Next they’re deprived of their feathers in centrifuge. They are relocated to the room where they are divided into parts in foil bags and then they’re sold to recipients.
