The first day of broiler chickens’ lives. The introduction to the poultry house.
Within the next 6 weeks, the broilers will be all grown up and ready to be slaughtered. In the EU over 6 billion chickens are killed for meat on a yearly basis. The biggest producers in Europe are Great Britain, Germany, Poland, France, Italy, and Spain. When they are little it’s hard to say if they have enough space in the poultry house, but as they get bigger it becomes obvious, that the space is very limited. Additionally, due to the fast growth, broilers suffer from heart diseases, problems with movement and breathing or simply lifting their own bodies.
