September I participated in an intervention on a fox farm. The conditions the animals live in are scandalous – many of them don’t have access to water, they are fed once in three days, they don’t have any shelter from the rain or sun, there are piles of feces wherever you look around. Foxes are kept in tiny metal cages, many of them are malnourished, sick, and showing the symptoms of stereotypy. The whole place smells like death.

This isn’t an exception – it happens on fur farms all over the world. The only way to prevent these things to happen is to ban fur farming altogether.
