These photos were taken in regional laying hens’ slaughterhouse in Bangkok.
A few hundred hens are slaughtered there daily, without any technology. Expoilted laying hens are transported from factory farms in plastic containers from which they are pulled out one by one to have their throats cut. Some of them are still alive when they’re thrown into bathtub with boiling water. Next they’re deprived of their feathers in centrifuge. Their dead bodies are relocated to another room where they’re gutted and divided into portions.
They’re sold to regional recipients.
